Since clubs can now be run as companies, there are more and more foreign groups investing in Brazil.
Some examples:
1. Red Bull -> Red Bull Bragantino
2. 777 Football Group -> Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama
3. Eagle Football -> Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas
4. Manchester City Group -> Esporte Clube Bahia
What can it mean for Brazilian football?
1. Brazilian clubs will have more economic power
2. They will start buying the best talent from all over South America
3. They will be able to afford to wait and sell their talents at a higher price
4. Many Brazilian players who play abroad will return to Brazil sooner and not just at the end of their careers
5. More and more foreign investments
So many fans and an endless pool of talent make Brazilian football very attractive.
I personally really like the idea of a new top league in South America that competes with European leagues and the MLS.
Football is becoming more and more global.
And football in Brazil is set to play an increasingly important role in the next decade.
